Alastair Smith is a specialist in regulatory law. He has a particular focus on industrial and workplace safety matters and is available to be briefed in all statutory causes. Alastair regularly appears in State and Federal Courts and tribunals, both at first instance and on appeal, with and without a leader.
Alastair regularly defends complex work health and safety complaints. In industrial matters, Alastair appears for both employers and the Australian Building and Construction Commissioner. He also prosecutes on behalf of the Department of Health.
